Downtown Detroit/ Inner State Gallery

Its always a pleasure to visit places I’ve never been to in my own city. Glass, Cinder & Thorns III was a cool, laid back event. Walking around sipping your glass of wine while enjoying these hand painted pictures created by women artist from around the world. The art pieces range from $200-$7500 which were well worth it. The theme is fairy tale inspired. I didnt want to be that girl taking a picture of every piece but I made sure I took a pic of what I liked the most!

“The Older we get , the more we realize how wonderful being an innocent child can be. losing ourselves in fantasies of white horses, magic and dazzling princesses. What Disney failed to mention is that The Little Mermaid dies, Multiple suitors defiled Sleeping Beauty, and The Wolf ate Grandma. Horrible things happen everyday , but we all sometimes wish for a time and place where life is simpler, yearning for the warmth of our childhood beds.” – April Armand
